Welcome to "My Birthday Wish", a community initiative dedicated to
bringing the joy of celebration to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a special birthday party.
Each season, Create A Party selects one deserving child to receive a complimentary birthday celebration designed to create lasting memories for both the child and their family. Each celebration is thoughtfully planned to make the birthday
child feel special, valued, and surrounded by love on their big day.
Below, you'll find information about what's included, eligibility requirements,
how to nominate a child, and ways you can help support the program through sponsorships, donations, or other contributions.
Together, we can make birthdays brighter and create unforgettable
moments for children in our community.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Each "My Birthday Wish" celebration is thoughtfully planned
by the Create A Party team and may include:
• Decorations, tableware, and balloons to bring the celebration to life
• Games and activities for guests to enjoy
• Birthday treats, cupcakes, or cake
• Party favors for child guests
• A special gift for the birthday child
• Celebration for up to 25 guests, including children and adults

create a memorable experience for a deserving child.

"My Birthday Wish was created to support children and families facing difficult circumstances. Whether a child is battling an illness, coping with the loss of
a loved one, navigating a challenging family situation, or living in a household
where financial hardship makes birthday celebrations difficult, we believe
every child deserves the opportunity to feel special on their birthday.
This program is intended for children whose families are experiencing genuine hardships that may prevent them from having a birthday celebration of their own.
Our goal is to provide joy, create meaningful memories, and remind children
that they are cared for and valued by their community.
Through "My Birthday Wish", Create A Party gives back by using the power of celebration to bring hope, happiness, and encouragement to children
when they need it most.

How do I nominate a child to have a birthday party?
To nominate a child for the "My Birthday Wish" party, please fill out the form below.
How far in advance should I complete the nomination for a child?
We recommend submitting nominations at least three months before the child's
birthday whenever possible. "My Birthday Wish" celebrations are awarded
seasonally, and while we will make every effort to schedule the celebration
as close to the child's birthday as possible, we cannot guarantee that it
will take place during the child's birthday month.
Selected families will be contacted directly regarding scheduling, availability, and next steps.
Can I apply to have a birthday party for my own child or a family member?
Absolutely. We welcome nominations from parents, guardians, family members,
friends, teachers, counselors, community leaders, and anyone who knows a child who
could benefit from a special birthday celebration. You may nominate your own child,
a relative, a student, a family friend, or another deserving child.
We simply ask that all nominations be submitted with the spirit and purpose of the
program in mind, with consideration given to children and families experiencing
genuine hardships or challenging circumstances.
What criteria does a child need to qualify?
To be eligible for consideration, the following requirements must be met:
• The child must be 12 years old or younger at the time of the celebration.
• The child must reside within Miami-Dade County.
• Consent from the child's parent or legal guardian is required before
a child can be selected for the program.
• The child should be experiencing circumstances that may make a birthday
celebration difficult or unlikely. This may include financial hardship,
living in a single-parent or low-income household, foster or kinship
care placement, medical challenges, family hardship, grief, trauma, housing
instability, or other difficult life circumstances.
Nominations may be submitted by parents, guardians, family members,
teachers, friends, counselors, social workers, or other community
members who believe a child would benefit from a special birthday celebration.
All information shared as part of the nomination process will be kept
confidential and used solely for the purpose of evaluating eligibility
for the My Birthday Wish program.
Does the party cost anything to the attendees or the family?
No. "My Birthday Wish" is a fully donated celebration provided
at no cost to the selected child and their family.
There are no fees to apply, participate, or attend.
Our goal is to remove financial barriers and create a joyful,
stress-free experience for the birthday child and their loved ones.
Who pays for the party?
"My Birthday Wish" celebrations are funded by Create A Party and made possible
through the generosity of local businesses, community partners, and sponsors
who donate their time, products, services, and resources.
Our goal is to provide a meaningful celebration at
no cost to the selected child and their family.
To ensure we can continue serving as many children as possible, celebrations are limited
to a maximum of 25 total guests, including both children and adults.
If my nominee (child) is selected to have a party, what should I expect?
If your nominee is selected for the "My Birthday Wish" program,
Create A Party will contact you and/or the child's parent or legal guardian
to confirm eligibility and obtain the necessary consent.
Once eligibility has been confirmed, we will learn more about the birthday child,
including their interests, favorite activities, colors, and any theme preferences they may have.
We will also discuss potential celebration dates and determine a suitable location,
such as a home, park, or other approved venue.
Our team will work closely with the family to create a meaningful and memorable
celebration while ensuring the event remains within the scope of the "My Birthday Wish program.
Where is the birthday party held?
We work closely with the selected family to choose a location that is safe,
convenient, and appropriate for the celebration.
Depending on the family's needs, the party may be held at a home, local park,
community space, or other suitable venue. Location availability and program
resources will also be taken into consideration when planning the event.
